Bally Bet was the ninth and last of New York’s original licensees to go live, on Jul 8, 2022, six months after the market opened. It went dark in 2023, then relaunched in November 2023 on a new platform from Kambi and White Hat Gaming.
Our score is 7.0 out of 10. Bally Bet earns points for a simple, win-or-lose welcome offer and a clean Kambi betting engine. It loses them for a tiny market share, thin NY-specific promos and payout times it doesn’t publish.

Claiming the $50 in bonus bets
- Download the Bally Bet app or go to ny.ballybet.com while you’re physically in New York. You must be 21+.
- Register and verify your identity.
- Deposit enough for a $10 bet.
- Place your first cash bet of $10 or more at odds of -250 or longer. A bet at -200 qualifies; -300 doesn’t.
- Once the bet settles, your $50 in bonus bets arrives within 48 hours. Use them within 7 days.
Three traps void the offer: cashing out the first bet, a void, or a push. Pick a market that can’t tie, such as a moneyline in the NHL or MLB, or a spread with a half point.

Doing the math on a $10 first bet
Say you bet $10 on the Rangers moneyline at -150. If they win, you collect $6.67 in profit, get your $10 back, and receive $50 in bonus bets. If they lose, you’re down $10 but still get the $50.
Bonus bets return only the profit when they win. A $50 bonus bet at +100 pays $50, not $100.
Timing matters too. Your first bet must settle within 28 days of registration, so a Super Bowl future or an end-of-season award bet won’t qualify. Pick a game that finishes tonight and the bonus bets can be in your account within 48 hours.
Who gets the most from Bally’s offer?
It suits a new bettor who wants a bonus that doesn’t depend on a loss or a winning pick. The return is fixed: $10 in, $50 in bonus bets back, whatever happens.
It doesn’t suit a high-stakes bettor. Bet $500 and you still get $50.
Kambi-powered odds on all 10 New York teams
Bally Bet’s odds and trading come from Kambi, a B2B supplier behind several US sportsbooks, so the menu is deeper than the brand’s size suggests.
All 10 major NY pro teams are covered: the Yankees and Mets, Giants, Jets and Bills, Knicks and Nets, and the Rangers, Islanders and Sabres. Same-game parlays, round robins, live betting and cash out are all on the menu.
New York law blocks bets on any game involving a New York college team, home or away, and bans college player props, according to PML §1367 and NYSGC guidance.
The NY State Gaming Commission has also been reviewing player props and same-game parlays since November 2025. No ban had been imposed as of October 2026.
Rated 4.6: the Bally Bet app and its creator picks
The NY app rates 4.6 on the App Store from about 52,000 ratings, and the listing names New York. That’s below the 4.8–4.9 scores of FanDuel, DraftKings and BetRivers.
The app’s standout is creator picks, which surface bets from Bally Bet’s featured creators. Bally Bet also says it streams select events live in the app; one independent review in July 2026 couldn’t find streams, so check the events you care about.
The current app dates from the November 2023 relaunch, when Bally’s rebuilt its NY sportsbook with Kambi and White Hat Gaming after months offline, according to SBC Americas. If you tried Bally Bet in 2022 and gave up, this is a different product.
Live betting runs on Kambi’s in-play engine, and cash out is offered on many markets.
No PayPal at Bally Bet: debit cards, Play+ and ACH
Deposits run through Visa and Mastercard debit cards, the Play+ prepaid card, online banking and ACH eCheck. There’s no PayPal or Venmo listed, a gap against most NY rivals.
Bally Bet doesn’t publish official withdrawal times. Third-party testing puts Play+ withdrawals at 24–48 hours. Bank transfers are typically slower.
Bally Rewards: points that work at Bally’s casinos
Bally Rewards gives you points on every sportsbook wager. Those points are shared with Bally’s land-based casinos and can be redeemed for bonus bets and perks.
That matters more in New York from 2030. Bally’s won one of the three downstate casino licenses on Dec 15, 2025, for a casino at Ferry Point in the Bronx, expected around mid-2030, according to Covers.
The smallest sportsbook in the state: Bally Bet’s NYSGC numbers
According to NY State Gaming Commission reports, Bally Bet took $141.8 million in bets in calendar 2025 and kept $9.6 million in gross gaming revenue. That’s about 0.5% of the state’s $26.3 billion handle.
August 2026 was in line: $10.4 million in handle and $1.0 million in revenue, about 0.6% of the market. Bally Bet ranks 8th of the 8 live NY books by handle. FanDuel took more in a single day, on average, than Bally Bet took all month.
Bally Bet’s August hold, the share of bets it kept, was 9.5%, close to the 9.7% statewide figure. For 2025 as a whole it was 6.8%, below the state’s 9.7%, so its customers as a group did a little better than average that year.
Why it matters: New York’s 51% tax on revenue is hard on small books. Resorts World Bet, with a similar sub-1% share, quit the state in June 2025. Bally’s has a big NY casino project coming, which gives it a reason to keep its online brand alive, but bettors at a small book should keep balances lean and withdraw winnings regularly.
