The catch is discipline: miss a day and you lose that day’s $50. Bonus bets expire after 7 days and have 1x playthrough, and the stake isn’t returned on a winning bonus bet. This version runs through Oct. 26, 2026.

DraftKings launched in NY on Jan. 8, 2022 and led the state on handle in August 2026, with $614.0 million, per NYSGC.
The offer: Bet $5, Get $200 in Bonus Bets (paid over 21 days) + 3 Months of NBA League Pass. No Promo Code needed. Your $5 first bet doesn’t have to win.
The $200 arrives as eight $25 bonus bets, on days 0, 7, 14 and 21. The later drops are click-to-claim, so open the app or you’ll miss them. Each bonus bet expires after 7 days (168 hours). The NBA League Pass code must be redeemed by Dec. 19, 2026, and it auto-renews, so cancel if you don’t want to pay. The offer ends Nov. 29, 2026.

Fanatics took over PointsBet’s NY business on Feb. 29, 2024, and earned $18.8 million in NY revenue in August 2026, third behind FanDuel and DraftKings, per NYSGC.
The offer: Up to $1,000 in FanCash (100% bet match up to $100 in FanCash a day for 10 days). No Promo Code needed. Deposit $10, then opt in on the bet slip and bet $1 or more at -200 or longer each day for 10 consecutive days. Fanatics matches each day’s stake in FanCash, up to $100.
FanCash expires after 7 days and carries 1x playthrough. You can also redeem it for Fanatics merchandise. To collect the full $1,000 you need to stake $100 a day for 10 days, so most bettors will collect far less.

Caesars, licensed through American Wagering, Inc., launched Jan. 8, 2022 and took $1.75 billion in NY bets in 2025, per NYSGC.
The offer: Bet $1, Double Your Winnings 10x (10 x 100% Profit Boosts) with Promo Code CZRDYW. Place a $1+ first cash bet at -10000 or longer, and you get 10 tokens that each double the profit on a bet of up to $25.
Each boost can add up to $2,500 in extra winnings, and all 10 last 14 days. A first bet you cash out, or place with bonus funds, doesn’t qualify. The tokens have no cash value: they only pay if the boosted bet wins.

theScore Bet, operated by Penn Sports Interactive, LLC, took over from ESPN Bet in December 2025. It handled $24.2 million in NY bets in August 2026, per NYSGC.
theScore Bet has no confirmed New York welcome offer right now, and there’s no Promo Code to enter. New customers should check the theScore Bet app for current NY promotions. Former ESPN Bet depositors are already PENN customers, so they generally can’t claim its new-customer offers.

Bonus bets. Site credit you can bet but not withdraw. When a bonus bet wins, you keep the winnings and lose the stake. A $50 bonus bet at +100 returns $50 in cash, not $100. FanDuel, DraftKings and Bally Bet pay their welcome offers this way.
Bet match. The sportsbook matches your stake in bonus credit, as Fanatics does with FanCash. You get the match whether your bet wins or loses.
Second chance (bet reset). If your first bet loses, you get the stake back as bonus bets up to a cap. BetRivers caps its Second Chance Bet at $100. Win the first bet and you get nothing extra.
Profit boosts. Tokens that raise the payout on a winning bet. Caesars’ 100% boosts double your profit, so a $25 bet at +100 pays $50 profit instead of $25. A losing boosted bet pays nothing.
On Oct. 3, 2023, the NYSGC unanimously adopted advertising rules that ban “free”, “cost-free” and “free of risk” wording in sports betting promotions. The rules also bar ads aimed at people under 21, restrict promotions on or near college campuses, and apply to affiliates as well as operators.
The reasoning is simple. A “risk-free bet” that refunds a loss in bonus bets still costs you your cash stake, and the bonus bet won’t return its own stake if it wins. Operators switched to terms like “Bet Reset”, “Second Chance Bet” and “bonus bets”.
Since October 2024, state law has also required gambling ads to warn about the potentially addictive effects of betting. A 2025 bill, A7962, would have banned bonus bets and odds boosts outright. It died in committee.

Three rules apply almost everywhere. Odds minimums decide whether a bet qualifies, from -200 at Fanatics and BetRivers to -250 at Bally Bet. Cash out, voids and pushes can void a qualifying bet. And an expired bonus bet is simply gone.
