AmWager welcome bonus: 100% first deposit match up to $50
AmWager’s welcome offer is small and easy to clear.
- Open an AmWager account. AmWager requires customers to be 21, although New York’s racing age is 18.
- Make your first deposit. The match applies to that deposit only, up to $50.
- Place $50 in wagers within 30 days.
- Receive the match as wagering credit.
The credit can’t be withdrawn, but anything you win with it is cash. Unused credit expires after 30 days, and the offer is limited to one per household.
Compared with Xpressbet’s Up to $500 sign-up bonus or NYRA Bets’ $25 bonus bet + up to $200 first deposit match, $50 is the smallest welcome offer among the apps we review that have one. AmWager’s pitch is what happens after the welcome bonus, not the bonus itself.
| Offer | 100% first deposit match up to $50 |
| Promo Code | None listed on the offer |
| Min deposit | Not stated in the offer terms |
| Bonus terms | Place $50 in wagers within 30 days; credit non-withdrawable, winnings are cash |
| Expiry | Unused credit expires after 30 days |
Live video on nearly every track: AmWager’s betting menu
AmWager has operated since 2009 and holds ADW licenses in eight states, including New York. It streams live video from almost every track it offers, with a searchable archive of past races.
All the usual bets are there: win, place, show, exactas, trifectas, superfectas and the multi-race Pick bets, with boxes and wheels. Wagers go into the track’s pari-mutuel pools, so you get the same odds as at the window.
Two tools set it apart:
- ABC wagering: weights your A, B and C horses across the legs of a multi-race bet, built into the bet pad since 2017.
- Dutch wagering: a calculator that splits your stake across several horses to target a payout or a risk level.
Both save serious players a spreadsheet. A beginner won’t need them.
No app store download: AmWager’s web app trade-off
AmWager has no iOS or Android app, so it has no App Store rating. Instead you install its progressive web app from your browser menu at amwager.com, and it puts an icon on your home screen with the same features as the site.
It works. It also means no App Store rating to check and a smaller user base. If you bet mostly from a phone between innings, FanDuel Racing or TwinSpires will feel slicker.
Bitcoin to MoneyPak: funding an AmWager account
AmWager has one of the widest deposit menus in racing: Visa, ACH/eCheck, bank transfer, Bitcoin, Green Dot MoneyPak, PayNearMe, Mastercard money order, check and wire.
Withdrawals are narrower:
- ACH: 1 to 3 business days, available once you’ve made a $25 deposit.
- Check: up to 5 business days plus shipping.
- Wire: $25 fee on requests under $5,000.
There’s no PayPal and no live chat. Support is by email and phone during set daytime hours.
AmWager Rewards: the highest ceiling in New York racing
This is why AmWager is on your radar. Every dollar you bet earns points, starting at 4 points per $1 and rising through eight tiers based on monthly volume. Points convert to wagering credit every morning at 1,600 points per $1.
At the bottom tier that’s 0.25% back. At the top it’s 2.5%. Here’s what that means against the competition on $1,000 a month in NYRA trifectas, where the pools keep $240 in takeout:
| App | Rebate on $1,000 |
|---|---|
| AmWager | $2.50 to $25 |
| NYRA Bets | $4 |
| TwinSpires | $1 |
| FanDuel Racing | $0 |
Be honest about which tier you’ll reach. A $1,000-a-month bettor won’t see the top rate, and at the entry tier NYRA Bets pays more on NYRA races. AmWager’s advantage grows with volume.
What New Yorkers bet with AmWager each month
The NY State Gaming Commission lists AmWager under its parent, “Amwest.” In September 2026 it took $142,218 from New York residents.
That’s about 0.3% of the $51,959,809 New Yorkers bet through out-of-state ADWs that month. FanDuel Racing took $28,819,950 and TwinSpires $10,080,713. AmWager is a niche product for players who care about tools and rebates, not a mass-market app.
AmWager’s strengths and its catches
Pros – Rewards up to 2.5% of handle, paid daily – ABC and Dutch wagering tools – Live video for almost every track – Bitcoin and MoneyPak deposits
Cons – No native iOS or Android app – Smallest welcome offer among our reviewed apps that have one – 21+ only – No PayPal and no live chat
Our 8.0 rating credits the best rebate structure in New York racing and useful pro tools, and marks it down for a web-only app and a small welcome offer.
AmWager or a bigger racing app?
| App | Welcome offer | Top rebate |
|---|---|---|
| AmWager | 100% first deposit match up to $50 | 2.5% |
| NYRA Bets | $25 bonus bet + up to $200 first deposit match | 0.4% at NYRA tracks |
| Xpressbet | Up to $500 sign-up bonus | XB Rewards points |
If you bet mostly NYRA races at modest volume, NYRA Bets pays more at the entry level and has a native app. If you want a big welcome offer, Xpressbet pays up to $500 over 90 days.
