The Catskills’ Las Vegas-style resort

Resorts World Catskills is one of five upstate commercial casinos licensed by the NY State Gaming Commission, in the Town of Thompson, Sullivan County. It opened in February 2018 off Route 17 at Exit 106, about 90 miles northwest of New York City.

Malaysia’s Genting Group owns it through Genting Americas, which also runs Resorts World New York City in Queens. That property became New York City’s first full casino in April 2026.

100,000 square feet of gaming, open 24/7

The casino floor covers 100,000 square feet and never closes. According to the resort, it holds:

• 1,600 slot machines, plus electronic table games
• More than 140 live table games, with minimums from $10 and dealers 24/7: blackjack, craps, roulette, baccarat and Pai Gow Tiles
• A Baccarat Club, a high-limit salon and a private players’ lounge
• Credit lines and front money for qualified players

There’s no bingo. The floor is non-smoking under state law, with smoking decks off the casino floor.

A 16-table poker room open almost around the clock

The non-smoking poker room has 16 tables dealing Texas Hold’em, Seven Card Stud and Omaha. It’s open 24/7 except from 2 a.m. to 10 a.m., Tuesday through Friday.

From Sportsbook 360 to Bar 360: sports betting at the resort

Resorts World Catskills marketed its retail betting lounge as Sportsbook 360: 6,000 square feet around a center bar, with 32 flat-screen TVs and a 9-by-16-foot HD screen. The space now trades as Bar 360, “the center of all the game day action.” The resort’s site no longer lists betting windows or hours, so call 1-833-586-9358 before you plan a retail bet.

The bigger change came online. Resorts World Bet, Genting’s mobile sportsbook, stopped taking bets in New York in June 2025, according to Gaming Commission data and trade press. Here’s what happened to Resorts World Bet and where its customers went.

Betting apps work on site at Resorts World Catskills

Resorts World Catskills is a commercial casino, not tribal land, so state-licensed sportsbook apps aren’t blocked by the tribal geofence. 332 suites and The Alder: Catskills hotel choices

• Main tower: 332 all-suite rooms, from about 600 to 2,200 square feet
• The Alder: 101 rooms next door

Check-in is 4 p.m. and check-out is 11 a.m. You must be 21 with a major credit card in your name to book a room. Guests get the pool (7 a.m.–10 p.m.) and Awana Spa.

Under-21 guests can use the all-ages pool, restaurants such as Dos Gatos and Lotus, and the Topgolf Swing Suite, but not the casino floor.

The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark is nearby. Resorts World says it doesn’t own or operate it.

Genting Rewards at Resorts World Catskills

The loyalty card is Genting Rewards, the same program used at Resorts World New York City. The rewards desk is open 10 a.m.–10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Route 17 to Exit 106: driving or busing from the city

Take Route 17 (the future I-86) to Exit 106. The resort is about two hours from Manhattan by car, depending on traffic. Charter buses run from the city; call the bus coordinator at 845-428-7269 for routes. For harness racing, Monticello Raceway is nearby in the village of Monticello.
