Where we’d put our money at Belmont Park

Best bet: Kathynmarissa (7-5) in Race 8. The 7-5 morning-line favorite, so the track handicapper rates this horse as the one to beat. Jose Ortiz has won 5 of 12 rides (42%) at New York tracks in our records. Race 8 picks and odds

Value play of the day: Mascara (20-1) in Race 1. At 20-1 on the morning line, the price is bigger than this horse’s connections suggest.
