The flagship of Seneca’s three casinos
Seneca Niagara’s gaming floor opened in 2002 and the hotel tower followed in 2005, according to Buffalo Toronto Public Media. It is the largest of the Seneca Nation’s three Class III casinos, ahead of Seneca Allegany and Seneca Buffalo Creek.
The resort sits in downtown Niagara Falls, a short walk from the American side of the falls and the Rainbow Bridge to Canada.
2,700 slots, 80 tables and a real poker room
The casino lists “more than 2,700 slot machines” and “over 80 tables of live-action gaming.”
Expect blackjack, craps, roulette and mini-baccarat, plus carnival games such as Three Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold’em and Mississippi Stud.
Unlike Buffalo Creek, Seneca Niagara has a live poker room on the casino floor, dealing Texas Hold’em, Omaha and 7-Card Stud. It is also the place to play keno, at the Keno Bar.
Smokers get a designated indoor area on the east side of the floor, for tobacco only. Marijuana and other smoking products are banned.
Sports Lounge, BYOB and cash-only betting on the Niagara floor
The Sports Lounge sits on the gaming floor. The kiosks never close, and the counter keeps longer weekend hours than Seneca’s other lounges:
| Sports Lounge | Hours |
|---|---|
| Self-service kiosks | 24/7 |
| Betting counter | Mon–Fri 10 a.m.–10 p.m., Sat–Sun 9 a.m.–10 p.m. |
| Cashier’s Cage (cash winning tickets) | 24/7 |
The minimum bet is $1, betting is cash only, and parlays run up to 12 legs at a kiosk or 9 at the counter. With BYOB (Bring Your Own Bet), you build a ticket on your phone, get a QR code and have it scanned at the counter. No New York college teams, under state law.
Can you bet on your phone at Seneca Niagara?
Not on site. Seneca’s sportsbook page says “mobile betting is not available,” and state-licensed apps geofence tribal land. The sponsor memo for Senate bill S10470 confirms that mobile platforms block “tribal jurisdictions.” Step off Seneca territory and the licensed apps work for anyone 21+ in New York. Our NY sportsbooks guide ranks them.
Rooms at Seneca Niagara: 604 of them, renovation under way
The hotel has 604 rooms and suites over 22 floors, including Fallside rooms and corner Jacuzzi suites. Check-in is 4 p.m., check-out 11 a.m.
In August 2026, Seneca Gaming announced a $47 million renovation of nearly 600 rooms, according to Buffalo Toronto Public Media. Work started in October 2026 and runs three floors at a time, so expect some floors to be closed. Completion is due in December 2027. The new rooms use water and earth tones and original work by Seneca artists.
The Spa at Seneca offers massages, facials and body wraps, and the hotel has an indoor pool and fitness center.
The Western Door, Koi and nights out by the Falls
The fine-dining pick is The Western Door Steakhouse. Other restaurants include la Cascata (Italian), Koi (Asian), Three Sisters Café, Full.Plate Eatery and Blues Burger Bar.
Shows play in two rooms: the Bear’s Den Showroom and the larger Seneca Niagara Event Center. Tickets are sold at The Garden Nook gift shop and on Ticketmaster.
Earning Social Club points at Niagara
The same Social Club by Seneca card works at Niagara, Allegany and Buffalo Creek. Each point played earns 1 Tier Credit and 1 Player Point. The tiers are Member, Player, Pro and Advantage, earned over 12 months, and points can be redeemed for dining or slot play.
Free self-parking and the I-190 route from Buffalo
Self-parking is free, either at Seneca Square or in the garage. Valet is available, and the price depends on what’s happening that night. Seneca Niagara is about 20 miles north of downtown Buffalo, and from the I-190 you follow signs to downtown Niagara Falls.
Compact talks hang over all three Seneca casinos
Seneca’s gaming compact with New York State is unresolved. In October 2026, Seneca said an agreement in principle with no revenue sharing was in place. Gov. Kathy Hochul said “there is no agreement and negotiations are ongoing,” according to Spectrum News. Revenue sharing under the old compact helped fund Niagara Falls, Buffalo and Salamanca. The casino operates as normal.
