Point Place’s $50 million upgrade

Point Place opened in 2018 on Route 31 in Bridgeport, near the south shore of Oneida Lake. The name comes from the lake points around it. For seven years, it had no rooms.

That changed with a $50 million expansion. The Oneida Indian Nation held a grand opening on Nov. 17, 2025, according to CNY Central. The project added:

  • A 99-room hotel, according to Indian Gaming
  • A casino floor roughly twice its old size
  • The Forest Grill, a farm-to-fork restaurant
  • Birch Trading Co., a retail shop
  • The Evergreen, a 1,500-square-foot event space
  • Expanded parking, a refreshed Fireside Lounge and an updated Perfect Pour Café

900 slot machines now, plus blackjack and Three Card Poker

The casino now advertises 900 slot machines, up from about 500 when it opened. Table games include blackjack and Three Card Poker. When Point Place opened, its tables also included craps, Spanish 21 and Mississippi Stud.

There is no live poker room. The Oneida Nation’s 32-table room is at Turning Stone, about 20 miles southeast.

Weekends bring live DJs, Rock N Roll Bingo and happy hours.

TS Sports, the betting lounge at Point Place

Point Place’s sportsbook launched as The Lounge with Caesars Sports, with a 24-foot video wall and VIP areas. In December 2023, the Oneida Nation replaced Caesars with its own TS Sports brand at all three of its casinos, according to Casino.org. In August 2025, it signed Kambi to supply the retail betting platform at Turning Stone, YBR and Point Place, according to SBC Americas.

The house rules follow TS Sports’ standard terms. The betting age is 18. You can’t bet on New York college teams, and you can’t bet player props on any college game.

Mobile apps on Oneida land: plan to bet at the counter

Plan on betting at the counter or a kiosk. Point Place is Oneida Nation land, and the sponsor memo for Senate bill S10470 says licensed mobile platforms geofence “tribal jurisdictions.” Away from Nation land, the state’s licensed apps are open to anyone 21+ who is in New York. Our best NY sportsbooks page compares them.

Staying over: Point Place’s first hotel rooms

The new Point Place Casino Hotel is the first place to stay on site. The casino sells packages built around a nightly experience credit and dining credits. Rates and package terms change, so check the casino’s site before you book.

For groups, The Evergreen adds 1,500 square feet of meeting and party space, the first event room at Point Place.

TS Rewards at Point Place Casino

Play earns points on the TS Rewards card, which works at Point Place, YBR and Turning Stone. Points earned on slots, dining and rooms can be spent across all three.
